Project Overview

Goals:  PFN tasked On the Porch Media with leading a video-first transformation for one of their established audio-only podcasts. The goal was to develop a YouTube strategy that would:

  • Transform podcasts into engaging video content with dynamic visuals, professional editing, and accessibility features.

  • Create short-form content for YouTube Shorts, leveraging key podcast moments with attention-grabbing hooks.

  • Organize content into series & playlists to enhance viewer engagement and retention.

  • Boost YouTube presence and establish the podcast host as a thought leader.

  • Drive traffic to a new community and provide high-quality video assets for the PFN marketing team’s email and social media campaigns.

Solution: As PFN’s dedicated video specialist, On the Porch Media led a YouTube overhaul to drive growth. The strategy included:

  • Consistent weekly posting – Two full-length video podcast episodes per month and at least two short clips under 60 seconds.

  • Engaging, high-quality editing – Branded graphics, B-roll, on-screen text, and subtitles for accessibility.

  • Strategic content repurposing – Monthly enablement kits, shownotes, and optimized YouTube uploads (Libsyn included).

Results: First 90-Day Overview
Uploads: 67 new uploads (43 Shorts, 24 long-form videos)
